Our school has a wonderful speech language specialist that provides speech-language pathology service to our students. Speech and language pathology service includes more that just correcting speech (articulation) errors. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) help students in the areas of phonological awareness (letter sounds), vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, verbal expression, social language, hearing, fluency (stuttering), voice, augmentation/alternative communication and swallowing.
If you ever have concerns about your child's communication skills, please call the school and ask to speak to Holly Loffand, CCC/SPL.
Special Education Teachers at A.B. Chandler are Debra Polley & Kendal Bartlett. Destiney Johnson is the school psychologist and Elyse Dowdy is the mental health counselor.
