February 15th was National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, and although it fell on a Sunday this year, we wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible SROs.
Our School Resource Officers do so much more than keep our schools safe. They build meaningful relationships with our students, serve as mentors, offer guidance, and help create a positive and secure learning environment across Henderson County Schools.
Their presence brings comfort to students, staff, and families alike, and their commitment does not go unnoticed.
Please join us in thanking our SROs for their dedication, service, and the care they show our schools each and every day. We are grateful for all that you do!

Our FRYSC coordinators are a lifeline for students and families, helping remove non-cognitive barriers to learning by connecting them to food, clothing, social services, and critical support. Their compassion, dedication, and behind-the-scenes work make a lasting difference in our schools and our community.
Thank you for all you do for our Henderson County students and families. Because of you, we continue to Pursue Excellence—together.

Due to the ongoing winter storm and hazardous road conditions, Henderson County Schools will be closed Monday, January 26 through Wednesday, January 28. Our childcare centers will be closed as well.

With winter weather possible this weekend and into next week, we wanted to share information to help families prepare in the event an NTI day is needed. There has been NO official call or determination at this time. This post is simply to help everyone plan ahead just in case.
👉If an NTI day is called:
Students will participate in live Google Meets:
-8:00–10:00 AM for all students
-10:30–11:30 AM for 4th & 5th grade students
-Specials classes will still be held
-All assignments and Google Meet links will be posted in your child’s Google Classroom
-Students have practiced this at school and should know how to access their meets and assignments
-Each student has a blue or yellow snow folder in their backpack with work prepared for each possible NTI day
⏰Important reminders:
-Students are expected to log in on time and remain on Google Meets for the full session
-If your family experiences a power outage, please contact your child’s teacher via Rooms
Again, there has been NO OFFICIAL NTI CALL at this time — this is simply proactive communication to support our families. Thank you for partnering with us and staying weather-aware! 💙
